'Welcome to Canada'

Opening Reception

Raise a glass, sample some hors d’oeuvres, and meet your fellow RVC 2026 attendees within surroundings unique to Toronto. Engage with Buyers and Sellers in a relaxed atmosphere after a long first day on the floor. Transportation will be taken care of, so you just have to show up and enjoy yourself.

Inside Track

Destination Canada

Destination Canada’s Inside Track provides Rendez-vous Canada Sellers with updates and insights on our key international markets to help them make the most of their time at the event. Representatives from each of Destination Canada’s key markets shared overviews and in-depth insights into their market. Ultimately, these presentations should inspire Sellers and help them market Canada by answering questions about key travel trends in the marketplace, such as how the market has changed over the past few years and what buyers from various markets are looking for.

Indigenous Welcome Ceremony

Prior to the first appointments, join us at the DC / ITAC booth on the marketplace floor for a special welcome from the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada, Indigenous Tourism Manitoba, the local First Nations and Metis.

This special ceremony will open RVC in a special and meaningful way, welcoming attendees to the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples.

FAM Tours

Buyers and media are invited to learn more about Canada by participating in one of the Rendez-vous Canada FAM tours. Choose from several special excursions that explore Toronto and the surrounding area. Trips typically last three days, returning you to Ontario’s capital in time for RVC!

Appointment Sessions

The heart of Rendez-vous Canada are the appointment sessions! Pack your itinerary with as many as it will allow (that’s 78 appointments in total, or 26 a day) and meet with your colleagues in the travel and tourism industry. You’ll have to get right down to business, though—appointments are only 12 minutes long, with three minutes allotted for you to move to your next one.

Luncheons

For 90 minutes every day, we shut down the floor and usher our guests into a majestic dining room where they can sit down and enjoy a full-service lunch. We hope you will have worked up an appetite from a morning packed with appointments! It also gives them an opportunity to learn about our sponsors, some of whom are responsible for bringing the lunch to you. So sit back, enjoy a meal, and continue networking with those buyers or sellers you met in the morning!

City Tours

Buyers, sellers, and media are invited to learn more about RVC’s host by participating in one of the Rendez-vous Canada City Tours ahead of the actual convention. Whether you choose to explore the urban surroundings, immerse yourself in local culture, or sample some of the city’s fine food, these experiences will leave both informed and fulfilled.

Member Appreciation Happy Hour

Hosted by TIAC

One day during RVC, TIAC-Member Sellers will have the opportunity to connect with fellow members over refreshments, including beer, wine, and soft drinks, for an hour after a full agenda of appointments. We encourage you to invite a Buyer, so you’ll have plenty of time to chat. TIAC looks forward to raising a glass with you!

Host Night Reception

One of the most anticipated events at every Rendez-vous Canada is the host night, which takes place on the penultimate evening. Our hosts are planning a memorable evening at one of the city’s tourist landmarks, so be prepared to let your hair down and raise a glass to RVC and the tourism industry in Canada.
