MAXIMIZE YOUR TIME AT RVC+ BY SETTING UP YOUR TECH TOOLS IN ADVANCE
Be prepared for a seamless RVC+ experience by setting up your technology tools before the big day. When your system is set up properly, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy making meaningful connections with other delegates.
With that in mind, here are some quick tips for setting up your tech tools for RVC+:
- Test your virtual setup: In the virtual event platform, click “Test Mic and Camera” at the top of the appointment screen. Be sure to test using the same device you’ll be using at the event.
- Speed up your system: Close all other programs running on your computer. Disconnect from your virtual private network (VPN). To find out how, search “How to disconnect from VPN” and your system type (e.g. Windows, Mac, Android). Use a hard-wired internet connection instead of WIFI, if possible.
- Improve sound quality: Your computer’s built-in microphone doesn’t have the best quality sound. If you can, use an external microphone and headset for best quality sound. If the sound is choppy during an appointment, try turning off your camera.
- Download the app as backup: The best way to experience RVC+ is via desktop or laptop computer. But if you’re on the go or if you have technical issues with your computer, you can access all your RVC+ appointments on your phone or tablet with the RVC+ mobile app. Download the free app here!
